Flower Collage

Learn the basics of Katherine Horst’s painterly collage technique.

Experience paper collage as you create your own beautiful, upcycled artwork. Katherine will lead you through the process of making an image of a flower with the use of found papers, handmade papers, recycled books, magazines, fabrics, and other materials. You are welcome to bring your own paper materials and pictures of your favorite flowers as well!

Katherine enjoys creating with a variety of paper and you will too as you learn her “painting with paper” method of collage, spending two hours from start to finish.

You will begin the workshop by using photographs and fake flowers as a reference for your creation. Then, with the use of glue and a variety of materials, you will cut and paste your elements onto a 9″ x 12″ cradled board. At the end of the workshop you will have a piece of collage art as unique as you.
