Educational field trips in Lancaster County

Horst Arts Center loves being a field trip destination! Any of our unique arts and craft experiences can be run as an activity for students. We have workshops and DIY activities that are appropriate for all age groups. In fact, we have so many, you may want to come back a second time!

Our studio is fun and bright. Tools, supplies, recycled materials, and papers are hidden treasures that can be found integrated throughout the studio. And our fun, circular, scrap-wood table can be reconfigured in any numbers of ways and is always a big hit.

We also love talking about our professions and our love of art. Katherine is a mixed-media fine artist with well over a decade of experience. Jason has been a graphic designer and web developer for three decades. We would be happy to talk to your students about these pursuits as part of their field trip experience, while showing them physical samples of artistic creations to help inspire their own creative pursuits.

Your bus can pull right up into our back parking area. Plus there is a free municipal parking lot directly across the street from our back entrance on Wolf Street.
